KNOW US
IT’S TIME TO
We are an international partnership united by our shared commitment to combating climate change through education, awareness, and community engagement. Our consortium includes partners from multiple European countries, each bringing unique strengths, perspectives, and expertise to address global environmental challenges. Together, we aim to inspire change and foster sustainable practices in our schools and communities.
Our mission is to empower students, educators, parents, and local communities with the knowledge and tools to take meaningful action against climate change. By integrating innovative teaching methods and hands-on activities, we strive to develop environmental awareness and promote responsible, sustainable lifestyles.
Our Goals
Our project is driven by the following objectives:
- Education for Change: Teaching students about climate change, recycling, and conservation while engaging them in projects that promote energy and water efficiency.
- Community Involvement: Encouraging collaboration among students, parents, educators, and local communities to take collective action against environmental challenges.
- Awareness and Advocacy: Highlighting the universal problem of environmental pollution and promoting sustainable practices across Europe.
- Curriculum Enrichment: Incorporating innovative tools and digital skills development to enhance learning outcomes and prepare students for future challenges.
Why We Exist
Global warming is no longer a distant threat—it is a present reality affecting all partner countries. From devastating forest fires in Turkey and Spain to floods in Germany, the environmental crisis demands urgent action. Unfortunately, a lack of awareness persists among students and educators, as shown by our SWOT analysis. Many students are unaware of the root causes of climate change, while teachers often view environmental topics as beyond the scope of their curriculum.
Our project aims to bridge this gap by:
1. Developing educational resources, such as a Teacher's Climate Guide, to support multidisciplinary climate education.
2. Creating tangible outcomes, including digital eco-calendars, recycled art exhibitions, memorial forests (with at least 50 trees planted per partner country), and online platforms to share resources and ideas.
3. Promoting skills development in ICT, foreign languages, and critical thinking to prepare participants for a more sustainable future.
Who We Are
Our partnership is built on the diverse expertise of educators, students, NGOs, and local authorities across Europe. We actively involve:
- Students: Selected for their enthusiasm, language skills, and artistic talents, students take on leadership roles in research, presentations, and creative projects.
- Teachers: Supporting students while integrating climate education into classroom activities, they contribute to the creation of innovative teaching materials.
- NGOs and Experts: Our Belgian partner, Urban Foxes, provides valuable expertise in environmental projects, leading workshops and guiding the development of our climate guide.
- Communities: Parents, local authorities, and other stakeholders participate in awareness campaigns and project activities to create lasting change.
Why Our Project Matters
Climate change is a global issue that transcends borders, requiring international cooperation to develop effective solutions. By working together, we:
- Learn from each other’s strengths and experiences.
- Share best practices to address shared environmental problems.
- Equip the next generation with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to create a sustainable future.
Our vision is to foster a culture of environmental responsibility that extends beyond the classroom, inspiring individuals to take action in their daily lives. Through this partnership, we hope to create a lasting impact on our schools, communities, and the planet we all share.
